Using the information from the Disease Profiles page, students can make can construct puppets in the image of the various diseases. All of the artistic drawings are based on what the disease actually looks like under a microscope with exception of colour, so students have freedom regarding colour.
An Immune System Story
Students can either write their own stories (ELA Connection), or you can collaboratively think of a story to tell with the puppets created above. Possible topics to include in the story might be: How diseases spread, symptoms someone might get from a disease, ways to prevent the spread, how we can remove points of spread in our classroom, and more.
