The CSL Team visited Inuvik (and the Geoscience Forum in Yellowknife a few days later) to collaborate with a Grade 3 teacher from East Three Elementary and scientists from the Aurora Research Institute to create the permafrost module. It was incredibly interesting to see how Inuvik has adapted, and is adapting, to living in a permafrost environment.
This was an eye-opening trip – the first time that one of the team members visited this part of the world – and a very successful one! It was great to this amazing landscape that not many people get to see, and to be welcomed with such open arms to the community in Inuvik. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.
